By a study done by Parkview Hospital, it is reported that one
in five people in northeastern Indiana are living without any
health insurance coverage at all. These statistics are lead from
low income jobs and employers not offering coverage to their
employees.
It is becoming a serious problem for the healthcare industry and
the people of Indiana the high percentage of civilians in the state
without any coverage. Fort Wayne does have clinics that help people
of low income or the unemployed but these days, that’s just not
enough.
Children and elderly can go through the state to get coverage.
Children are eligible through a program called Hoosier Health, and
the senior citizens are eligible for the states Medicaid program.
The state is currently working on its situation with the
uninsured.
